AI & Blogging: the end?
Hold on, I am not that guy!
What I mean is that blogging for SEO gains is going to be dead: too many people just blog because they want the SEO juice, not because they care about writing. I believe this is true for most companies who blog for SEO, but I am more hopeful that individuals will still blog for passion.
So why do I think that blogging is dead? Using A.I. you can write a blog about anything in seconds.
This is the recipe for it:
- Ask the AI to find you ideas
- Ask the AI to list H2s for your blog piece
- Ask the AI to draft your blog piece
- Use your super human powers to make it incredible
Asking the AI to brainstorm for you
I think the best way of brainstorming done by AI is the type of brainstorming that glues multiple things together. I usually open ChatGPT and will start a conversation with the agent.
Let’s take this blog post for example, how did I come up with the title for it?
I asked chatgpt: Come up with a couple of content ideas for a blogpost. Focus on generating titles about [using A.I. for SEO]. This ideas should target [casual tech readers]

They’re boring AF 💤 but it does tell me one thing, A.I. is messing with SEO. The future of marketing cannot sleep on A.I. content and there are a lot of people that want to learn how to do it.
So armed with these new ideas, I came up with the next set of questions.1
2User: What's a good title for a piece about blogging is dead because of AI?
ChatGPT: "Demise of Blogging: The AI Revolution's Fatal Blow?"
1 | User: Make it sound more clickbait |
1 | User: Make it sound more straightforward and use simpler words |
I like the last one, so I give it a personal touch and a couple of iterations later. Here’s the title I used in this blog.
Ask the AI to list H2s for your blog piece
Now onto getting those H2s!
1 | Creata a list of <h2> headings for the blog post titled [AI & Blogging: The End?]. Use bullet points! |
The list is pretty long, so you can hand pick a couple of H2s that you like. I picked:
- Will AI Replace Human Bloggers?
- Augmenting Creativity: How AI Can Inspire Bloggers
- The Human Connection: Why Bloggers Remain Indispensable
These are great headings now let’s move onto writing the actual content
Ask the AI to draft your blog
1 | Given the following blogpost with missing content, fill in the content where it says <fill> by reading the subheaders immediately above. This will explain to you what the content needs to be |
Et voila’ it wrote a whole article. It’s not half bad. I can regenerate it a couple of times if I want and I can use modifiers to make it sounds better for example by saying things like “make the content sound like it has been written by a nerdy guy”
Ok now final step!
Use your super human powers to make it incredible
This is a simple step, take everything that the AI wrote and make it sounds more human, by using your skills of a human.
That’s all there is. Now you’re just gonna edit the piece like you actually want to publish it. It might take you 15 minutes but guess what? You saved at least 2 hours of your time by using an A.I. tool like ChatGPT.
In conclusion, yes you can produce one blog post a day and you can rig the SEO game, but you still have to put 15 minutes of your time per piece to make it sound credible to other readers.
P.S. I didn’t actually any A.I. to write this post other than the responses it gave me to show you it’s possible to make this process work!
