About Me

Hey there, thank you checking out my site! I appreciate you taking the time to learn more about what I do professionally.

Engineering (BSc Computer Science & MSc Business Information Technology)

I am a full-stack developer who prefers people and culture over big pay checks.
I like to build things for the web using Python and JavaScript.
I have React and Vue.js experience from working on various projects.
I like to work on APIs and have given a number of talks on the subject of API best practices, gateways and microservices.
I commonly deploy on AWS or DigitalOcean because I am mostly familiar with them, depending on budgets and complexity. I did use Rackspace and Heroku for a few projects in the past, but no more!
I am keen in checking out the Google Cloud infrastructure some time soon!

Design

Not too often I design things, and when I do I use Photoshop CC and Sketch App.
I mostly use those to prototype, wireframe and quickly bring ideas to reality.

Marketing

I have worked as a Developer Advocate, GrowthHacker, Head of Marketing and CMO for various companies.
I have spent, successfully, large sums of money on Google Adwords and the Google Display network to acquire leads and create sales pipelines.
I have managed small teams of up to 5 people.
Creating acquisition funnels and optimizing landing pages are my bread and butter.
I know quite a few things about SEO and SEM, I like to discuss openly about the pages that I have optimized in the past and how much traffic they generated.
I have researched and managed ad-campaigns and keywords within hundreds of ad-groups, for b2b and b2c businesses.
I have spent a lot of time and money on Facebook/Instagram ads to acquire new users through Audience marketing.
I am familiar with many marketing tools to create, track and advertising spend.
I believe in custom audiences and demographic marketing.

Passions

I like cooking 🍲, traveling (far but light on my shoulders) 🎒 and videogames 🎮.

• 🛩 Although recently I have been a little annoyed at airplanes journeys and their legroom policies.
• 🙀 I don’t have a driving license (I know, that’s terrible).
• 🚴 I ride my bike everywhere, take the bus or any other public transport available to me.
